Taxes are heavy imo. You get taxed at so many levels that it isnt funny. Just to name a few off the top of my head; state, federal, local taxes, sales taxes on levels ranging from consumer and producer, as well as a few others.
In california, theres a "global warming solutions" bill thats seeks to cut carbon dioxide (you know, the stuff we exhale....) by a large number, but its being said and reported from many places that it will both raise taxes, and will create a million jobs lost. Recently, the DWP rates were raised to help prepare for the bill. Expected spikes of around 28% may be seen.
