Steel Polearm is Slow(8), not Slow(7)
What isn't being counted here is that with a faster weapon you can get higher combos which means better damage and faster availability to your moves that require a combo counter.
Sell off the Steel Polearm since it's still worth something now, then +7 your rose. You get mesos and a better weapon.
NVM, didn't read thread. Stick with the rose.
