My Aran is level 33, and it's got 2 weapon options right now. Either I keep using my 63 attack (normal speed) White Rose, or I buy a (slow speed) Steel Polearm and scroll it with 100% scrolls. Because I like 100% scrolls. The Steel Polearm will be 6 attack higher, but it's slower than my Rose. Which one of these weapons would be better to use? I have no idea how to calculate DPM and stuff, and since this is my first close-range character above level 32, I don't know much about those weapons in general.

Normal(6) -> Faster(3)
Slow(7) -> Fast(4)
Faster (3): 630ms
Fast (4): 660ms
63/630 = 0.1 wAtk per ms
69/660 = 0.104545455 wAtk per ms
5% difference in damage output. I personally like a rose better because I love speed.

In a perfect world where you attack without stop. Not counting the fact that you get more combos with a Rose (barley), which could mean more wAtk.
I would say they're even for any practical scenario, so use which ever one is easier to control for you.
I can't stand slow PAs, so I don't use them. What ever works for you. :|

Steel Polearm is Slow(8), not Slow(7)
What isn't being counted here is that with a faster weapon you can get higher combos which means better damage and faster availability to your moves that require a combo counter.

Would a 109 attk Crimson arglaive (normal) be better or a 123 attk dragon chelbird (slow)? I'm still debating if the 14 attk bonus would be more useful or not. >.<

The Arcglaive is better than the Dragon Chelbird by far.

I had a 60 att rose but I used the Polearm because it looked cooler =/
The rose doesn't really help you combo better. At that level you don't have any skills that use the combo, so you'll have several thousand combo all the time, and you only get a 10 att boost that caps at 100 combos.

Anyways, use a rose. 7 Attack doesn't really make much of a difference in your damage.

When I played a PADK back in the days, I always preferred speed over attack. Under several smaller circumstances will I pick attack, or sometimes 'appearance'. My favorite Polearm will always be the Eclipse. It was one of the most coolest looking PA back in the day, and I still think it is. I have a +5 30%'ed, +1 70% Eclipse in Scania. I forgot the stats. My ex has it. Meh.
