Is anybody else a fan of Inio Asano?
I bought Solanin, loved it, and read more of his works (Nijigahara Holograph, Before the Dawn and The End of the World, Oyasumi Punpun, etc.).
I like the dark tones his manga take on, not to mention his talent at making anything seem realistic.
I can't say much about him, since I've only read Oyasumi Punpun up to chapter 36. I'll agree with you though. I love his light humor and his drawings. Reading Oyasumi Punpun makes me sad though.
I haven't read much manga in the past 10 days, but I've picked up a new one called Katekin. There isn't much of a story until later, so it's really easy to follow. The humor is a bit weird, but I found it hilarious.
Oh, and I did begin to read Fraken Fran, although I didn't get very far, the story is really interesting so far. I love dark stories, so this is right up my alley.
