You know who your friends are - You have absolutely nothing preventing you from working them into your family. My entire alliance did it with zero probelms.

If everyone's friends were in one family, it would be the only family in the server. And how can anyone reorganize their families now? No one will want to create one giant family since many would have to leave their current one (and lose rep) to do it.

Meanwhile when you're family hopping you're destabilizing everyone below you, who as you pointed out have no way of communicating with you, have no way of knowing who broke the chain, have no way of knowing how permanent it is and how no way of judging how long they'll be impacted if they don't in turn move to someone else.

If the people below you don't like your new family, they can quit. None of my juniors ever cared when I switched families for a while. Besides, if the people in your family are your friends, shouldn't they have a way of communicating with you?

There are only 2 useful functions of the family system:

A. Teleporting: unless everyone you know is in the same family (very unlikely), this is no longer possible to do efficiently.

B. 2x buff: Nexon apparently tried to prevent people from farming rep, however, it is still VERY easy to get massive amounts of rep on mule accounts.

So if Nexon does find a way to permanently prevent rep farming, what would be the use of a family? Might as well delete the whole system rather than dilute it over and over until all usefulness is gone.
