Maybe it's not a more correct translation (but I think it is), but it surely sounds better.
I just can't stand you people talking here about fluent English. First of all, your sentence structure is wrong for your statement:

You do not start with "I". It should be " Anyone and I ... blah , blah, blah"
and you are talking about fluent English. It just SUCKS.
Let me tell you something. If you get a Japanese to translate the Japanese text to English, I think you will get more interesting translation.
BTW, if you guys could not stand others country culture or language accent, so be it. You don't have to criticize and make so much noise here.

The whole world used the metric system, American still used it so called United States customary system, or American system that have common roots with the Imperial units which were used in the British Empire.
Thus, American can make a different and others are not allowed to do so?
