Karma the Z-Helm in Scania and sell it off. Exchange those mesos for some NX, and then use the NX on your Mardian character.
To be honest, you can train fairly well with just a Garnier and Subis. Yeah, yeah, you won't be able to kill Windraiders efficiently, but you can still get some experience here and there. If I were you, I'd go bossing (Mushmom, Zombie Mushmom). It's fun, and you may get some nifty drops.
