The poor quality of the joke aside, does this offend you? The Black Death has killed more than any military superpower could even imagine; like an unfeeling thresher to the grains of human life, it uprooted entire civilizations and had only been surpassed in mortality ratio by the Spanish flu. With that in mind, if this joke were funny, would you laugh? Would you call me a heartless bastard? Does the fact that it afflicted Europeans in general as opposed to Jews make it any less worse, or is it that such a specific race as "Jew" is more offensive as it hits closer to home for some people. There's also the factor of time (or "too soon"), but how long is long enough?

I'm more curious than anything.
