Inciting arguments isn't always cause just by what you can clearly see. In fact, being defensive and then passing the whole blame onto someone else.... definitely inciting something there.
You could have simply said, "Well I'm sorry if it appears that way. However, I can assure you I'm not trying to start anything there."
Now compare that to:
"Well I'm sorry if it appears that way. However, I can assure you I'm not trying to start anything there. However, MasPan definitely is the one trying to start something."
Hopefully you can see what I'm trying to get across here.
