Grace period before people loot your spoils

So we all know that if a monster dies and you dealt the majority damage compared to all other (unpartied) players involved, the drops are entitled to you.

How long do you get to pick up your stuff before the other players can loot your stuff?

I think it's something like 30 seconds, but it may be as few as 10. I remember it being lower for something like the Cake boss, where someone would kill, and masses would stand on the loot. 10 seconds later someone would loot it. However, I've come into a map with drops on it and waited up to 30 seconds before I could loot.
