Sounds like another religion to me. You need faith to accept it, just like Catholicism or Buddhism.
No, that doesn't make sense. Atheism is just the rejection in the belief of a God. People who don't want to assume something exists. I'm pretty sure if God can be proved, many of the Athiests would be quick to convert.
