Your reasons for starting a crossbowman were the same as mine, I also wanted to take advantage of the then super chea scrolls. I can see why you're becoming demotivated, I'm under the same sort of pressure. All I hear is "BMs > MMs", and at parties people always say "BM" (even in HT when everyone said "NLs/BMs even though the only bowmen THERE were marksmen... yeah, all marksmen at HT! We do get invited to things 
), or asking me why I don't have hurricane. I went through a huge training slump with my marksman but I absolutely love my marksman know. We're such a versatile class and we don't just spam one skill. Freezing stuff is fun too! And Snipe is an awesome skill too, especially when it's at a good level. KMST updates are going to make marksmen even better too! Also, when you try attacking with Speed Infusion it's so much more fun. I regularly abuse my boyfriend's SI and it brings my speed up to bowmaster speed. When at a boss with that I don't feel so left out. My guild often ask me to come with a pirate at Zak because everything is faster. I know it might seem like a bit of a grind at the moment but trust me, it's worth getting through the harder levels. I have about the same amount of money as you (mainly because I'm lazy and don't APQ as much as I should), but drop hunting is a nice way of making money. Snowman is a nice way, I usually go there once a week, and I even got 4 scrolls in one channel surfing session.
Marksmen really don't suck as much as people say they do. I tell myself that Hurricane is overrated and I'm happy that I have such a wide variety of skills to play around with. People don't see many marksmen around so you'll probably even be commended for sticking with it for so long, compared to those who have given up.
All I can really say is try to find something that motivates you. Like a skill, train with a friend, etc. I tend to get motivated by those around me but it might be different for you. Good luck with whatever you choose, but you do have the backing of marksmen everywhere.
