Bowmasters absolutely own us, with their fast Hurricane, and can KS us whenever they want, like Bishops (well, a Bishop owns even a Bowmaster, but w/e).
Well, what was your reason for picking a Crossbowman? You knew early on that Crossbowmen were slower but strongs (you may or may not have know about fourth job but that is an entirely different story).

Yeah, it's probably not fun to play Maple just with pressing a button (Hurricane), but people say that Marksmen are so boring.. maybe they're right.
You more or less press one button at Jr. Newties.

At the same time, I don't want the work of almost 2 years gone. I've done all quests do-able at my level (except killing HornTail, and things like that), and it wasn't no easy work at all. Not all quests were so easy. And since I'm a crazy quester I'd need to do them all again on another character, and I don't really feel like to.
Play MapleStory for fun.

I've got decent equips, but no "pro scrolled zhelm" or "incredible 12 dex earrings" or "uber godly crossbow 120+" or "12++ gawdly stormcasters", etc., so that's another thing that demotivates me.
Damage is not everything. Most people spend a lot of time and/or NX to get that stuff. There is nothing wrong with being an average Sniper.

I'm also poor. I only have 40m. Well, they're a good amount of mesos, but I'd like to have more so that I can buy some better equips (9 atk work glove FTW).
Try to merchant, hunt area bosses, or get married (APQ is sexy). If you intend to not buy NX, making Mesos takes work.

And yeah, sadly, I'm starting to think that Marksmen REALLY are boring. No level 200 Marksmen in all GMS and most high-leveled ones quitted (170+).
Yeah, nobody can stand training a Marksman because it's too boring.
At a certain point, this game becomes pointless, how do you know all the Marksmen quit due to their "boring" class. People get lives. Also, I believe the highest level Marksman is like 19x.

We're not wanted at bosses. Yeah, we have SE, and then? We don't have any fast attack like Bowmasters, they outdamage us sometimes (because of their speed) and if there are enough SEers in the run, we're not needed at all, for anything.
People want SE. Make some reliable friend and get some connections? Most boss squads have a Buccaneer so SI would help.

Maxed Snipe's cooldown reduced to 5 seconds? Snipe's damage cap removed and 199k damage every time? I think that won't help. Bowmasters will still be better, because they can pin any boss with their Hurricane, we can't. We will be using strafe forever, even at 4th job. And also, our strafe is slower than Bowmasters' one, so we are very slow and can't pin any boss like Bowmasters. Another reason because Marksmen suck.
Seriously? We can use Snipe twice as often for two times as much damage and that is not much?

We do more damage? Well, that doesn't help. Bowmasters almost do our same damage, expecially with strafe, and our damage is just A BIT higher.
Wait, what?

About why I chose Crossbowman: I did it because I heard that crossbow scrolls were a lot cheaper than bow ones, and I wanted to be "special" because not many people choose my job (because many of them say it sucks).

But now I kinda regret it.. D:

I have about the same amount of money as you (mainly because I'm lazy and don't APQ as much as I should), but drop hunting is a nice way of making money. Snowman is a nice way, I usually go there once a week, and I even got 4 scrolls in one channel surfing session.

Marksmen really don't suck as much as people say they do. I tell myself that Hurricane is overrated and I'm happy that I have such a wide variety of skills to play around with. People don't see many marksmen around so you'll probably even be commended for sticking with it for so long, compared to those who have given up.

All I can really say is try to find something that motivates you. Like a skill, train with a friend, etc. I tend to get motivated by those around me but it might be different for you. Good luck with whatever you choose, but you do have the backing of marksmen everywhere.
