Im having the same issue. Its annoying if you forget to alt-tab, or go to window mode first. Theres a thread on sleepywood about it too, where someones having the same issue. No reason behind it so far. Hes actually on vista SP1.
edit: im on XP 64 bit SP2 (there is no SP3 for 64 bit), but our XP media center PC downstairs, which has inferior hardware to this computer (and is on SP2, 32bit) still seems to be fine.
