Looking at the amount of dislikes people like Thunderf00t get over their Brexit/Trump videos, I'm starting to realize that many of the "gamergaters" or "anti-feminists" weren't ever there for the truth but simply because the facts happened to line up with their ideology. Now when the facts don't line up with what they read in their Breitbart/Infowars echo chamber, they all act like triggered crybabies, just like the "SJW feminist globalist leftists" that they criticize.
It's frightening to realize how much of the population can be categorized as "feels over facts"-people. Because it means that easy populism will continue to appeal to the crowds time and time again, no matter how much the history books will prove against it.
