i'm pretty sure xbish would have got there if he didn't get hacked.
i think part of it is the stigma that they're "terrible" bossers, which is complete junk. only reason archers are taken is to SE the NL's anyway >.>
the 200k, 10s snipe update puts them at 90%(iirc) of a BM's damage at level 160. a 200k, 5s snipe probably puts them at 110+%. they have better training efficiency and better mobbing imo. giving them better 1vs1 and freezing skills is just... i don't know.
lots of people i know quit their old character for a new one when pirates were released. one was a BM, quit to make a bishop cause she hated dying so badly yet still wanted to boss. another was a ranger, quit to make a brawler. Others made pirates, quitting their mains pretty much regardless of level / class. so i don't really know where you're going with that.
unless you were going to imply that the power hungry people would quit their BM's to make MM's if this goes unaltered into live servers, i'll agree then. heck, i'd probably quit to play on xsnipeux. it's only 9 levels behind >.>
