If a pre bigbang server meant that there would be no potential system, I wouldn't give a pomegranate about the hugely tedious experience curve. The reason why I played MS back in the day was because I enjoyed making my character stronger, but while doing so you have to inevitably compare yourself to other to know wether you're trully strong or not. When potential came out, it shoot the scale of power through the admosphere, and beyong with every update to it, making it impossible to catch up unless you spent enormous quantities of money.
I'm sure others will come and say you can play this game without spending a dime, but those people will have to accept that in order to avoid spending money you will have to spend an even greater amount of time instead. I did it in the past, but after being hacked 2 times in a game that can't guarantee that it wont happen again I realized how much of a waste that is.
Like I said one time, to play MS you need to either spend time or money, and since time is money, you can consider MS the most expensive game ever.
