So...how is that not an agreement? Sounds exactly like what I said; his country is doing worse than England, so he doesn't care if England implements a set of more restrictive rules because, while they are worse for England, they are still better than what he has to deal with.

It wasn't a jab at his country sucking, per say, though I've never been a tactful person; being blunt is less work, and when you get to this point, you stop caring about the little things like making everything flowery and politically correct. I rarely say anything I actually mean to be offensive, I rarely get genuinely upset (at least in serious debates), I actually find taking the opposite side on most matters to be enjoyable and a good way to exercise my brain, which is generally in a permanent boredom coma; frankness may seem to have an edge, but that's only when you compare it to the pandering bullpomegranate you hear on TV and everywhere else. People have actually gotten to the point that, if something isn't catering directly to them, it is seen as an insult, which is silly and untrue.

Sorry that still doesn't translate to "should suck". If anything, it sounds like "my country sucks, so every other country by comparison doesn't suck."
