My point is that it shouldn't be a sweeping thing that effects everyone. Parents already have everything they need to protect their children on the internet.

While it is still peoples choice, it is a completely unnecessary measure to deal with something that doesn't need dealing with in this way.

But it doesn't affect everyone. It affects those who b'itch about restrictions, sure, but anyone who it doesn't actually applies to just turns it off and the ones it does apply to have one less thing to worry about.

How would you deal with it exactly? I really want to know how you would solve this in a way that doesn't "burden" everyone and isn't a solution that only involves "hey parents, step your s'hit up".
