It looks like a very cool pet, which makes it surprising that they never tried to make money off of it. I would have bought it.
But yes, it involved buying a baby robo pet from the cash shop. You buy a rock of evolution from the cash shop and talk to an NPC to upgrade/transform it to a red, blue, green, gold (rare) or gorilla robo(very rare) at random chance. Yeah, it gets expensive if you're just aiming for the giant robo.
