Rathian Carapace comes from High Rank Rathian, in case you weren't being sarcastic.
Carapace is essentially the High Rank name for Shell. Some items get a new name while others just get + to the end of them, their naming convention is kinda annoying like that.
I love Zino, the first Monster in the game to reach a SSJ form.
Also, like dragonFELL mentioned, I went through my quests, no Rathian, unless the pink one drops it.
