Zinogre is freaking awesome. He is, by far, my favorite monster in 3rd gen Monster Hunter.
Rathian Carapace comes from High Rank Rathian, in case you weren't being sarcastic.
Carapace is essentially the High Rank name for Shell. Some items get a new name while others just get + to the end of them, their naming convention is kinda annoying like that.
