Did G Rank Arzulos Dual Quest with a friend: http://imgur.com/sDFJcqx
Dat size difference.
You can key ZL and ZR to camera controls, so I say yes. Someone else said that they found the game too hard to play with it due to the increased size of the controls overall, but I think that is dependent on the user.
That is why set mixing and matching is oh so perfect.
I already have a set lined up, all I need is a Handicraft+5 charm. Once I unlock Volcano Gathering I intend to spend a few hours gathering and hope I get it. The set will have: Sharp+1, Razor Sharp, Awaken, and Status Attack+2. I intend to use it with the Naruga Duals, which gain Para with Awaken. At 300 Raw, 40% affinity, purple sharpness and Para attack....it may be the only set I ever use for duals again. As a result, if I have to mine for days I will. I've always loved Para, and to actually be able to make a decent set with it is all my want for this game right now.
Anything under Timeworn Charm is completely worthless. Always has been. I don't know why the low rank charms exist. They are always terrible.
In some ways, I really like that you can't trade. It makes getting what you want all that much more rewarding. Yes, there's times where it can be frustrating, but I would rather frustration than watching people running around in gear they didn't earn, and screwing over quests with their inability to play. I've had people who hacked gear like Akantor in F2 then fail Akantor quests in minutes by dying three times almost immediately. I would rather have to grind that stuff then deal with people who can't play and were carried through the entire game. Yes, it adds some frustration, but honestly overall there's more than enough content that unless you REALLY REALLY want something, you can easily space it out and do it over time.
Most of all this game is about skill. If you don't have it, you shouldn't be able to get powerful gear. It's really that simple in my opinion. To that end, not being able to trade proves that you have skill.
Yes, of course you could always sit in a corner while people play for you, but it's significantly harder to do that then it is to have someone just give you 1925019254091209 items and call it a day.
At least this isn't Frontier. I know I reference it a lot, but really...in Frontier, there's items you can only get at a 2% (used to be 1%) carve, and that's it. You can't get it in rewards at all. You can't get it from captures. You HAVE to get EXTREMELY lucky in carves. That puts ruby hunts to shame, it really does.
Dat size difference.

SuperNerd Wrote:Sadly finding Charms that have the Handicraft skill already on them is extremely difficult, and the Decoration that gives the skill only increases by +1 and takes up 2/3 slots, so on armors that have some Sharpness +1 on them but not enough to complete the skill, it's basically worthless.

SuperNerd Wrote:In fact, I haven't had any luck in finding ANY good Charms. The best I have is an Evasion +6 Charm, which I regularly use, but eh. Plan on going Enduring Charm/Timeworn Charm farming in G-Rank Volcano Harvest Quest once I unlock it.
And honestly, I find getting the Conqueror's Seals the easiest part. Those four-monster quests are pretty damn easy and quick, especially the one with Volvidon and Great Jaggi.
And also, is it just me, or does anyone else wish there was SOME kind of trading system in the game? I don't care if they made the requirements super high or you had to trade limb for limb, but it's so aggravating that up to Rare 4 you can trade with your friends, but above that, it's no-go. I know it defeats the purpose of hunting and getting your own materials, but after killing 40+ Brachydios for its Gem and still not getting it, it would be kinda nice to have the ability to trade a bunch of pomegranate I don't need for just one. Another argument I heard is that the game, despite it being about hunting giant monstrous creatures, is set in a bit of reality (like making all your stuff, carving/harvesting your materials, etc), but IMO, if there were really monster hunters out there making gear out of their carves, do they not think that they'd trade their hides and pelts with one another for the stuff they need? Of course they would. [/rantover]
