I understand that it's for a set of charms and that it's mostly decided by the type of weapon you use. I like all type of lances and Long swords if that helps.
I'll get my game in 2 weeks, I need to go to Panama City in 5 days, If I see the game there, I'll buy it. If not I'll have to wait 2 weeks until it appears here in Venezuela (unless it's banned by the violence game law that banned MH3...)
It's not decided on what weapons you use. It's one of seventeen tables, each with their own specific set of Charms, that is decided by RNG as soon as you press the New Game button.
