The week before the Crimsonwood patch, when we knew that we were going to be able to make our own weapons, I started stocking up on Steel Plates (from Iron Boar armor). I was a bit disappointed when I found that they weren't required to forge Crimsonwood/Raven weapons. : (

In this scenario you can always save the steel plates for Maker. However i'm talking more specifically about things that are released in other versions, where we can *Know* for a fact what will be needed. Masteria expansions are always going to be a dice roll for us.
