It's probably a good thing I never got in... I actually earn my living by being a tester. Even though it's for optical network equipment, the same principles apply.
Reporting so many bugs and having none of them fixed would have ticked me off so much. At least at work, I have enough clout to force the designers to fix the problems that I deem more important. The easy stuff like the "palstic surgery" doctor in Ariant doesn't get to be put off either since it's a freaking label. Takes 3 seconds to piggyback that type of fix onto any patch release and only about 5 mins to properly test afterwards.
