As far as I've seen, the the way that the "random" stats that black and dark crystals give works is similar to the way a chaos scroll works in that some stats may be subtracted or added, restricted to the type of crystal. This seems kind of exploitable to me though since there are a lot of weapons out there with only weapon attack or only weapon attack and another black crystal stat. Any kMS player want to confirm? You could try taking a look at black crystal prices in the FM. Hopefully kMS hasn't had jump quest hackers running around like in global.
