Pretty good motivation to hunt some familiars now.

Bomber must be raging so hard that all those familiars he hunted are not permanent.

Just be prepared for a Nexon "fix". They might have mucked up when they got the idea of a permanent familiar sale, I have a feeling this was not their intention.

Doubt it since they ninja'ed that bit of monster familiars being permanent now in the Azwan update notes.

on the topic of useful familiar, mr alli recovers both HP and MP at a very fast rate.

I wonder if this means they're preparing for Monster Familiar potential. I mean, I wouldn't put it past Nexon to have their sole reason of doing something good to be for milking the wallets of their victims customers.

No, but it has Familiar Food that resets potential like Miracle Cubes. Potential on Familiars come at a 100% rate when the familiar is used for the first time. This, sadly, isn't retroactive and old Familiars cannot get potential.

Since they're permanent, they'll just heal when not in use right? o_o So technically you could have 1 forever, but having a 3 vitality familiar would make it definitely indefinite?

No. They go into cooldown when their orbs are used up. It has nothing to do with being permanent or not.

the orbs above their head is their "energy" if you like. Everytime they attack they use some of this energy. Once they use up all of their energy they disappear(not permanently, just go into hiding like a hungry pet). Once they go into hiding from running out of energy there's a cooldown, as CarrionCrow said, before you can summon them again.

Glad this is official and not a bug. Also glad I saved my familiar cards just in case of this day.

I used a Mano card a couple days before the patch.

Sad mine are all not permanent, but eh...
At least I have a reason to get 3 more blaze familiars(my 90 day blaze died out so long ago)...
At least I saved an advanced knight B & samiho familiar....
