Endgame Wrote:The Black Mage is supposed to be coming out sometime during Tempest.

So Orchid and Lotus will be smaller bosses like Hilla or Von Leon.

Black Mage will be the next boss that it takes 1-2 years to finally take down that requires lots and lots of cubing in order to do enough damage to kill. (Without hacks.) Once they get around to fixing the bugs that is.

I believe this too. Also, Orchid/Lotus might've been killed off early - I'm not sure but I believe DS doesn't get to fight her (Orchid), right?

Since Phantom only deals with Lotus in his story quests, it's pretty logical to say that Orchid died after her encounter with Mercedes - whether by the Elf Queen's hand or the Black Mage's merciless power remains to be seen.

EDIT - Kimicatdemon, I'd like to call you out on something two people said before me.....

"This is a kid's game."

Your use of sexual innuendo here isn't funny and it's not logical.

And pomegranate, if by god glory there exists hentai artists for this game, I may have given them an idea. pomegranate, DESTROY ALL THE EVIDENCE!

EDIT v2 - Okay, my mind was in the gutter for a second - I read the censored word "Peach" as something different. My bad.

But that line of logic assumes that Aria died slowly. It's possible, but the plan is too flawed for it to work. Unless you're suggesting Lotus possessed Aria and choked her that way? That could actually work.

And if we take in that Shinsoo was probably the only one powerful enough to free Aria from Lotus' control, then suddenly Orchid bombarding Shinsoo and Ereve makes sense. They'd be "too powerful" because Shinsoo would be helpless to fight whilst still protecting Aria.

I don't think Orchid is dead yet. During her fight with Merc she runs away ( I mean who wouldn't. peach is like a freakin' GATTING GUN). And besides, if Orchid died, who the pineapple would take care of her brother's body? :f6:

Maybe he prefers people with white hair? In that case Gelimer is a definite no-no. Either way Gelmier is a definite no-no. He might use him for his experiments and pomegranate!

You ARE aware the Black Mage isn't too keen on forgiving failures, right? I mean, look what happened to Eleanor - she obviously ran, but we haven't seen or heard from that peach since Orchid and Arkarium got put on active combat duty (the latter taking her spot).

She may have run away, sure - but the Black Mage wouldn't have let her get far without.... *ahem*..... "having a few words with her".

Or perhaps you forgot what happened the LAST time he let failure go unpunished? Demon Slayer may have been offed by the Black Mage, but did Ol' Arks forget about the rat..... errr, cat that DS was taking care of? Doesn't seem to me like Arks is the kind of man to let something like that slip past - especially given that Mastema is a bloody coward without his master by his side.

Makes you wonder - how DID the Black Mage get compromised like that? Without Mastema letting the Heroes know about the guard setups, the Heroes would've been walking blind into a living death trap.

Francis mentions Eleanor in the Phantom quest where you beat him up.

Not to mention Francis has a pretty bad track record, but he's still allowed to live.

And Hiver. ( deafeated in Evan, around in Mercedes. ) and just about everyone else. I don't think anyone has died yet.

Black Wings Boot Camp.
Toughening epic fails since the heroes became a threat to the Black Mage.

What? Seriously? I thought he got away after trolling Evan by duping him into speeding up the Black Mage's revival.

Or does Evan actually have a mini-boss quest where he offs the bastard? Because, from what I recall, Dargoth takes you on instead of Hiver in Merc's storyline and ol' Hives is nowhere to be found after said encounter. Could it be that there's a small gap of inconsistency between Evan and Merc's story in that Evan's fight with Hiver happens not long after her encounter with Dargoth?

Then on that logic, if Mercedes offed Orchid before Demon Slayer found the Wingmaster's Diary and Phantom's encounter with Lotus and the shenanigans that happened with that, then it would explain the deaths for those guys. And as for Francis? The guy's a sneaky rat - he manages to avoid the Black Mage's wrath AND the Heroes' wrath more times than is appropriate for someone of his plot relevance tier.

At this point, we haven't seen any mention of him in ol' Lumi's story, have we? It's possible that one of the four heroes had to have offed him by this point in the story, if the Black Mage didn't do it himself (hell, Orchid may have just as well kicked him off a cliff in Edelstein - that'd do the job).

Francis is in Lumi's plot though. I just simply do not think Nexon has had reason to finalize a death at the moment. Orchid shows up for DS at a much later level than Mercedes. Hiver is still around, and so is Baroq despite multiple failures.

DS meets Orchid?

What level? I got mine to 120 and the last story quest I got besides Fourth Job advancement was the one where he meets Von Leon.

I forget what level, but he meets her at the Temple of Time. She was the one that put him in the egg and she's gets pissed because he betrayed them, but she doesn't fight him, he just goes around and gathers some badges she had dropped with the monsters around and tried controlling them.

I agree, until Nexon actually gives proof, the only one that could be considered dead is Lotus (even then he still techincally isn't dead) and POSSIBLY Von Leon ( a friend told me that he actually dies after you fight him, but I'm not sure if I should believe her...)

according to lolnexon and cygnus knights, akyrum is also technically dead, trapped in an endless cycle
