Guardians, BF, Elder Wraiths' "glitched" KB intentional?
#21
It would be really nice if they fixed the BigFoot glitch. I can hit him with 3 stars then the next throw will miss allowing him to charge and making the fight much much much more difficult. If every attack hit it would make BF a valid target. Right now it is hard to contain him and only high lvl bowmasters, Heros, NL's, and such are able to take him out efficiently.

Maybe to point out that only big foot legs can actually hit you? I can easly jump through it with mane and dont get killed. Same with ledges on map before jq... you can just stand on top and bf wont hit you.

BG B anyone? Hes glitched too when he uses attack =/
If you ask me they are all glitched unless they use somekind of hide attack (case of that gosts) and they should be fixed.
Pap cant be hit either if he uses heal tho... so maybe bf is using some sort of skill which makes it unkble < oO

Just my thought

I do it all the time.

Hit hit hit, then run like hell to the other side.

If that was the case, it would be insanely easy to find out from the data. Bigfoot has no such skill, and no such special animation. He's just simply missing hitboxes.

I'm still not quite convinced BF is suppose to behave this way. If you have the Phantom Forest Map, you can take a route where you don't have to encounter BF at all. Unless you fall down in Forgotten Path xD

KajitiSouls Wrote:"General Dealer" is a valid name for a potion shop NPC. I don't think this really merits much attention at all.

Even if it is, there are still typos in NPC descriptions such as "palstic" instead of "plastic" as someone said, and that's from patch 0.56.

This just proves how useless Tespia was regarding fixing bugs. Even if a lot of people reported a lot of bugs, NEXON didn't fix them.

They probably realized it was useless, and they didn't open it again, probably for that reason.

I have 11 jump shoes and it's no problem just jumping over bf.

As far as i've noticed, guardians dont' have a glitched kb.

Elder wraiths do have a glitched hitbox when you kb them which is annoying.

As for bf, if this is about the "strategy whatever plan" it only makes sense if timing your attacks was meant to be part of the game.

In my opinion, without the glitched hitbox on bf, the exp/hr gain training on br would be even more incredible. Without the glitched kb, bf would be incredibly easy and any lower lvls can keep a constant kb and eventually kill them...which leaves even fewer options to train for higher lvl players.

This was absolutely not intentional. I thought this debate was settled.
heh, trying to get that stirgeman cape I've seen way too many glutton ghouls.

I thought of another monster that does it too, but without turning invisible: Pap's first form, when it retreats into the clock. It's just such a natural thing it doesn't occur to us. Yeah though, that's exactly what I mean by a visual cue.

On that topic, what about Pink Bean (Weak)? I'm pretty sure you can't hit PB during Phase 1-5.

Edit: Also, an inactivated statue (ie Ariel during most of the battle), or a previously "killed" statue before Phase 5 (like Huigin or w/e after it's stopped but before the start of the next phase)

Those are monsters that die but don't leave the map, or just flat out have no hitboxes. This is different, these are monsters that lose hitboxes during special periods as an ability.

Except there's absolutely no visual cue that he's going invincible... he just does it before every time he attacks (and when KB'd ... and partway through attacking), and it looks like he's just standing there but suddenly you can't hit him. I've tried timing my attacks but the only time I can reliably hit is while he's jumping the air during the attack, and if he's being KB'd that doesn't work.

i said "strategy plan" in quotation marks cuz though i mention it, i don't believe it.

Timing is 100% reliable. Practice on multiple bf, especially when you're solo. If he jumps in the air and you time it, you can get 3 hits in a row. When i'm solo, rushing bf into the corner greatly helps with timing. Bf will face away from you, hit him in the butt, then hit him again on his kb. After 2nd hit, there is a slight wait then he'll turn his butt to you again. Repeat. You should be able to get 2 hits in, delay, then 2 hits, etc. The only word of caution is catching your breath or rebuffing skills. Bf will start walking towards you and/or jumping. Do the 3hits in a row method when he jumps. As long as bf is in the corner he will eventually start facing away from you then you just continue hitting him on the butt and during his kb.

When partied, bf gets more dangerous. Timing still works. However i've found that with another attacker (or more) or even a priest/bishop that attacks, then you can only reliably get 1 hit in and it's only on the kb. Bf rarely shows his butt when being hunting with a party.

The bf hit box is similar to the papu shelling after papu does 1/1. Timing your hits to always contact bf saves a) mp and b) makes it faster. With papu, it's not such a big deal (i get lazy and continue spamming brandish, or i rush at 1/1 to avoid the damage.

the problem here isn't timing, but that blast doesn't have a fixed range, sometimes if you kb the bf too far away, blast misses, so making you miss 2 atacks at row

If you're fighting something, Blast will have a fixed range. It's the intended target that's moving away =P

And I never had a problem missing twice in a row when I time my attacks like XtremeBeast does.

Don't you hug it tightly in the corner? You can basicaly "kiss" bf (be almost ontop of bf) without taking a touch damage. I've seen PaladinSTR in Khaini solo the same method that i do (he's 17x's).

I've heard of a drk serking entire bf, but i haven't witnessed it. I don't know how much weapon speed comes into play but i know fast (4) and normal can get the 2hits in before having the delay.

For whatever reason, Brandish hits Elder Wraiths in their invincible frame.

This reminds me of nexon mysteriously taking out the kb animation on all non moving monsters such as zakum. I was so sad that when I could finally do enough to kb them consistently....they took it out.Hothead

I can use my Chief Bandit to pretty much hit them non stop. It takes quite a lot of skills, but it is highly possible. And I wouldn't be surprised if it works for any job.

On topic; I dunno really if you guys have realized it, but even Krips in Aqua Road has this "glitched" KB. I haven't even noticed this until a couple of weeks ago. Earlier, I've always thought that it was something like the position I was attacking from that was messing me up x.x

Then sometime after the release of CWK, I went to do some quest in Aqua Road. I then realized that they also are affected by it.

Just take a look at how terrible knockback looks on the monsters and you can tell that they're glitched =/

Unless everything in phantom forest is supposed to have such slow reflexes that they'd flinch like over 2 seconds after getting hit.

I wish they'd fix Bodyguard B already so I can solo it. But so few people even know he's invincible during his KB (and a few other animations) that no one reports it. Shame, really.
