It's from fishing. You can also get Goby familiars and Mini Bean familiars from fishing. I think the Mini Bean one only comes from the auto-fishing NPC, which requires NX, of course.

Basicly, in JMS, there is a low chance you get a special monster card. With that card, you can summon the said monster wich can add special skills like invisable or something. There is also a profession wich makes you summon up to 3 cardmobs.

It's not a monster card, it's a familiar. It helps you fight monsters depending on their level. A card is something you register into the monster book, a familiar is a monster that can help you fight it. You can name them (e.g. I named my Kerning Square CD (thanks danielcatu) BieberSucks).

Btw, since the OS3D Diver familiar is legit, I bought it and now I'm super poor. xD

Every single mob has a card - even Sheryl and Crow. Hell, I've seen people running around with the Empress Cygnus familiars already. XD
