I find it funny with how many people are telling me they wont be affected because the 600 chaos scrolls they have were bought with legit mesos.

What's better? Losing things you worked on over a couple of days or losing not only that, but losing your account, which you've been working on even harder for an even LONGER amount of time?

Good think they ARE taking a week off to work on this then. Or did you forget they're giving us till the 15th to do the majority of the work for them? You get your wish, Nexon keeps getting money, legits can still play normally, and no exploit after affects arise. Everyone wins. Quit complaining.

Making players do the majority of the work for them doesn't with well with me at all. What they've done was essentially give hackers, exploiters, and immoral players a "get out of jail card" for free, something I feel none of them deserve. While I understand there's a lot of legits who through ignorance got thrown into this, the whole message they brought across to me exists in a fashion where they don't detail any initiative on sorting things out on their own.

Also, nobody but hackers won. But then again, that's everyone nowadays, so yeah, you're right. :V

The only jail they're getting out of is the one that doesn't let them keep their mesos. Otherwise, they're still going to jail. It won't even matter if they dump all the scrolls they have right now.

The ones that are going to be banned are most likely the accounts (note not the players) who abused the exploit directly. Any side accounts, players, mules, etc. affiliated with the exploit get that get out of jail card free. So unless Nexon starts issuing IP bans, which they won't, that's not taking proactive responsibility where they leave such a huge loophole for the exploiters to escape from. And this is due to the fact the people who directly exploited this "event" are using mule accounts allowing their mains to get away safely. You know that, too.

That's who i was talking about, yeah. I'd rather the exploiters all be banned then have everyone b'itch about how they were banned in justly. The accounts that won't be banned are the ones who value the accounts. Anyone else doesn't matter.

I'm trusting nexon to not f'uck up here and ban me falsely because i have a lot of chaos scrolls from way before this event... I guess i won't log in until this blows over and if i get a ban hopefully i can appeal it.

I bought them over time. most of them around resistance release. regardless of their origin (which i have no way of knowing) i had them before any of this happened. I'm likely going to lose meso on them after this anyway. I'm thinking my account should be fine since i haven't logged in for this entire event. Nexon shouldn't miss that.

Well I've haven't bought any C.Scrolls in a very long time o3o
But I feel bad about anyone who (not fault of their own) does get banned cause of this Pineapple'ling Mess
Though one can hope that in the future Nexon will make sure this don't happen again for the what? 8th time? /sarcasm

Totally screwed! Kidding, you're probably fine. I think a lot of people are worrying a bit too much. My guess is they'll go after people who were in fm a lot, bought maple equips, and chaos scrolls in this time period. Also they'll look for accounts with a suspicious number of maple equips and chaos scrolls most likely on accounts active within the event time range. Those are just the most likely candidates to have possible actions taken against them by Nexon I'd suspect.

It is somewhat similar to how people who I know that bought exploited chaos scrolls in the fm during that perfect pitch event didn't get banned. Some guildies I know who had them in high numbers on their accounts were affected. Although there were people that were able to hoard and get away with it.

To some others. No one can tell how Nexon will go about this. But it's not worth dropping the items/equips if you already have them, since you've already been in contact with people in the fm, I'm pretty sure it'll show anyways. Just transfer stuff to a mule and hope for the best. That's my opinion on the matter at least. It's in scenarios like this though that I'm glad Duey is gone. It makes it a little harder to transfer to mules for exploiters at least.

The time when those users had log in to that GM account. Nexon had ban a good chunk of accounts that had log in to. Which show that they record ip with accounts.

Nexon can ban all account that log on the same computer may it be your main or your hacking account, but they have to give the benefit of the doubt. For example, your friend might have log on your computer to maple, siblings, etc So they ban the hacking account

As a side effect, has anyone else noticed that their Maple takes up significantly less memory and CPU usage?
Or is it just me?
