no. hackers dont do that for just 5k nx mp that is useless, why release it, if they can keep it private, make mesos, sell said mesos to mesos seller website, and make way more profit than just 5k mp over 100 accounts?

better making $$$ than online currency.

They release it for: the exploit finder got pissed coz he gave it to a friend and said friend abused it, for fame(e-penor(be well-know over the hacking community)), or just to screw around.

Most of the exploit finder don't release it, because they make profit off exploits, who release it are people that leeched it and then want to get some fame over a few online people, or to get it patched(rare).

Hmm, guess that's true, perhaps it'd be the end point once alot of other people have gotten their hands on the hack (assuming they haven't kept it entirely secret). Though I do concede that that's likely a much better way to make money.

I feel like there'll be a decent amount of compensation as its been an almost 12 unscheduled sc with no end in sight. Too bad I only did a few bosses then got off yesterday... didn't even get on my HS mule @.@.

At last we are pleased to announce that we have fixed the meso hacking problem. We apologize for the extended down time, however we wanted to make sure we resolved the problem properly. MapleStory will be available again at the following time:

PST – 8:00 AM, Tuesday, February 01, 2011
EST – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 01, 2011

Because of this game outage, we will hold the following event:
• 2x EXP/Drops on Friday 2/4 @ 4:00 – 6:00 PM PST
• 2x EXP/Drops on Saturday 2/5 & Sunday 2/6 @ 2:00 – 4:00 PM PST

Thanks to a few heroic Maplers, we were able to prevent the meso hack from severely impacting all game worlds. Unfortunately Khaini was the first world to be hacked, and so the damage was very great. Despite our best efforts to avoid this situation, we will need to revert the game state of Khaini to the following: 3:30 AM on Monday January 31, 2011.


Khainians, fear not! You will be specially compensated for this issue as follows:

• 2x EXP/Drops on Friday 2/4 @ 4:00 – 7:00 PM PST
• 2x EXP/Drops on Saturday 2/5 & Sunday 2/6 @ 1:00 – 4:00 PM PST
• Cash Shop items will have their expiration date extended by 48 hours
• 10,000 Maple Points for users logged in between 1/31 2:00 AM PST – 1/31 7:00 PM PST
• NX & Maple Points refund if spent between 1/31 2:00 AM PST – 1/31 7:00 PM PST

yeah me too, i know at least 10 people that abbused it(some of my friends just downloaded the PE for it) these server will take a while to recover its economy. thats just dumb imo. unless nexon will ban those, the economy will be ruined for a while.

Hm, I think I should take this "event" to level a few more chars closer to 4th job Though I could just keep leveling my Shad while waiting for Golden Temple to come. Decisions, decisions...

I figured Nexon merely announced Khaini's rollback because it was practically a whole day, and the other servers weren't rolled-back as severely.

Why would other servers get NX? They didn't get rolled back, I lost 2 levels and 50% which takes me at least 5 hours to get.. <_< My brother lost over 30% and he's level 157 which is a pain to level.. other servers don't need NX.. Khaini does, cause we actually lost something.

Khaini only lost a day of playing , all the other world just lost their entire economy , I only had 100m , and now the best thing i can buy with it is a glove ATT scroll.
If anything , Khaini was the least injured.

Son of a peach.. I leveled three times yesterday, including to 4th job, now I have to do it AGAIN? At least I didn't find anything yesterday, but I did a shitload of quests yesterday to help me get closer to Quest Specialist. As long as I get the 10k maple points, and we get the extra 3 hours of x2, I'll be fine. Leveling isn't that bad. At least now I know not to leave the papu room after going in once, so I can kill him twice <3

I'm going to kick the shet out of nexon if my Chair Medal got rollbacked and my even hair.
