I'm an intellectual who has observed his community enough to see that being an intellectual has left me to be an outcast. So I've dumb-ed myself down and am currently at the crossroads of playing a role of an individual who is an outcast that wants to belong in a world in which he'll never belong.

When i was younger my sister once said the most honest description of me I've ever heard: "The forty year old fourteen year old."

Although I read your entire post, I had to stop to think there. This isn't true. A lot people are good at nothing. Sure, we have some things we can do, but we're good at nothing. We excel at nothing and we're fully aware of this. When people, who have proven themselves to be of higher standards, practices, intelligence, and the like start doing stuff like this and make it seem serious, we feel even worse about ourselves because that makes us look so much worse and we feel worse. People like me can't even hold a half-intelligent conversation, much less excel at anything in life. I really can't find a single thing I'm good at and that's not even in comparison to anything.
