If I'm misinterpreting this, please, tell me, but from what I understand this change will basically screw over every single warrior that wasn't utterly retarded when assigning points?

I don't see how raising your dex is utterly retarded but yes, it screws up many low dex warriors from what I can tell.

Interesting... Having over 100 avoid/accuracy helps more with those equips then. I feel good from my high dex now... As a NL, yeah. The avoid will help a lot.
And now, DEX equipment will do better if your base DEX is low... People will take a while to get used.

Not too hard. Here's a super generalized look at how equipment will be distributed then.
DEX = for the low leveled/people who need the DEX to wear their equipment
ACC/Avoid = for the "pros"/those who can afford good or great DEX/LUK equipment to take advantage of the % rate.

Normal DEX wins, finally.
Well, technically low-DEX still wins, but now normal will be better than DEXless.
Assuming all +acc/+avd stats on all currently existing equips are converted to +% ( This does not account for blessing):
Total +acc% : 46%
Total +avd%: 31%
Total acc after % system applied: 274
Total avd after % system applied: 339
Total acc before % system: 234
Total avd before % system: 290
Acc gained: 40
Avd gained: 49
Edit: That avoid gain is ridiculous. Kind of want patch now.

cuz nexon wants to give the illusion that its a good game where there are actually multiple stat builds

I raise you and offer my changes to my Buccaneer when the changes come over (Blessing is accounted for):
Total +accuracy % : 29% (20% Zakum Helm + 9% Overalls)
Total +avoid %: 70% (38% HT Pendant + 21 % Zakum Helm + 6% Rat Mouth + 5% Overalls)
Total accuracy after % system applied: 252
Total avoid after % system applied: 465 (485 with Archer Elixir)
Total accuracy before % system: 225
Total avoid before % system: 344 (364 with Archer Elixir)
Accuracy gained: 27
Avoid gained: 121

Why account for blessing when we don't know how blessing is affected? (or nimble body for that matter)

Hmm you got a point there, but on the other hand so far only equipment with ACC/Avoid are affected. As far as I know, class/item related skills that boost those 2 stats should be unaffected because that's just overkill. Accuracy/Avoid will skyrocket to numbers that we don't even need. An additional 20% accuracy boost for all classes, and a 20%/40% avoid boost to Thieves/Pirates/ Focus Archers on top of what's already offered on equipment will make it so accuracy problems are pretty much non-existant, and Thieves will be dodging everything >95% of the time.

also how does this affect other classes other than just warriors? all ive read so far is stuff about how warrior may or may not be affected by this pending their stat allocation.

I don't know if it would be good if it affected skills....
Imagine, blessing, bullet time and mastery, all give acc/avoid %, that would make the base accuracy/avoid too low for some people o,o

For the rest? Depends. Below 100 natural acc/avoid, worse. With more, better.

Well, there's two possible outcomes. And always the same answer. The 100 limit makes it all depend.

*Confused* So now you theorize that blessing/skills probably aren't % as well (which was my thought as well, which is why i excluded blessing/BT), yet you still included blessing in your previous post? :f6:

If the thing fiel said about LUK for mages becomes true I would be happy and sad at the same time. We'd have to create long tables to find out the best INT/LUK combination to have the most out of our stats and I'd have to change my build.
