Girls : At what age did you get your first period?

iiMarik Wrote:Oh my gosh, you can't have kids? :O
Yeah. It sucks, but it's not like I am the only woman who cannot have kids in the world so I've learnt to get over it. And on the bright side, I get more of a choice on the gender of the baby I get. lol Unless of course my spouse does artificial insemination in order to get us a baby, in which case it'll be the same mystery as most. But you know, there's nothing current medical science can do for me so I just have to deal with it. =]

Anyway, getting kicked "down there" can hurt a girl quite badly too. I luckily do not speak from experience yet.... Probably only because its less common for someone to hit a girl at all, let alone in that spot.

Yea, if a guy punches a guy, he gets yelled at. "Don't fight in school!", but if it's a girl he hits "DON'T HIT GIRLS!". <_<
Sexism at it's worse.

Anyway, you should look at the bright side. Other than STDs, there's no need for you/your guy to wear a condom/worry about leaking. xP

What's so creepy about this thread? o_O It's just a natural process in a girl's life. lol Quit imagining all sorts of things.

Cheesecake Wrote:i always found that really wierd. are our balls connected to our stomachs? that would explain a lot >_>

but i can recall more then one incident where a girl was wearing bright coloured pants and i could see a really big, dark stain on their crotch Tongue
shudders*

nono, reproductive system =/= digestive system. lol I'm saying that it's a reflex reaction. For example, if you sit down, then hit the soft spot right between your knee cap and bone, your leg kicks forward. That's a reflex reaction -- which is something you don't do voluntarily.

I know for sure that it moves upwards. I just don't really know the why behind it. My best guess is that something in your testes moves upwards because your pelvic bone is right there. So it's like a quick escape protection from whatever threatens your sperm count.

To all the guys going all "Ewww" about this thread, notice how the subject is addressed to girls. Why bother clicking if you're going to feel sick reading it? You don't wanna hear about menstruation but you sure as hell don't mind sticking your plantain/face in something that bleeds for a couple days each month. Grow up. Rolleyes

Anyways, I know what the average is. I just wanted to hear from girls themselves, not from statistics. It's also interesting hearing what their first thoughts were.

I was ten, I woke up in the morning and was surprisingly calm about it. Rolleyes Then I told my mom, who in turn told our neighbour, THAT was when I freaked out about it.

I feel like a late bloomer. I think I was 13. Kinda a long time ago now so I'm only 95% sure, lol.

I had my first period at the age of 29 because I am one of those girls that the thread creator has eagerly waited for to post.

I have been to the guys' bathroom back in high school with a friend. and was very amused at how guys can just do their business in a bowl. Thank goodness no one is around. Tongue

I stopped getting it for whatever reason, and the doctors I went to can't figure it out. So I have to take birth control to get a period.

Maybe you turned into a man? XD without a "growth" XD ^_^; jk
