Need help with skill statistics.
#1
I'm currently making some guides for the brand new vMS (Viet MS) and I noticed that many in-game skill descriptions are unreliable due to recent changes (Like Berserk, Savage Blow..etc) or just mere messed-up mistakes (like Combo Attack).

I need your help to collect all the mis-informative Skill descriptions so I can go look for the correct ones. Any help linking to the corrected version of the descriptions would be greatly appreciated. =)

So far I'm aware of:
- Combo Attack (wrong %)
- Panic (stated 'weapon attack' instead of 'dmg')
- Berserk (updated)
- a few 2nd job skills (updated) --> much appreciated if specifically mentioned individually.

Thank you for your kind help and Happy Mapling. ^^

Savage Blow was improved, as well as Double Stab, apparently.

DS's percentage was increased to 140% and Savage Blow goes from 4 hits to 5 to 6 (4 hits = 1 - 10, 5 hits = 11 - 20, 6 hits = 21 - 30) but I believe the percentage is the same.

Thank you, so I got:
- Savage Blow
- Double Stab
confirmed.

So....according to JoeTang's post, double stab wasn't changed at all?

Oh whoops... That's odd... I could have sworn I had that in there. I have the tables somewhere, just might not be formatted like... that. Odd indeed... I'll have to browse around for it... But at max, it's 140%...

Double Stab

Level 01: MP - 8 / 98% Damage
Level 02: MP - 8 / 100% Damage
Level 03: MP - 8 / 102% Damage
Level 04: MP - 8 / 104% Damage
Level 05: MP - 9 / 106% Damage
Level 06: MP - 9 / 108% Damage
Level 07: MP - 9 / 110% Damage
Level 08: MP - 10 / 112% Damage
Level 09: MP - 10 / 114% Damage
Level 10: MP - 10 / 116% Damage
Level 11: MP - 11 / 118% Damage
Level 12: MP - 11 / 120% Damage
Level 13: MP - 11 / 122% Damage
Level 14: MP - 12 / 124% Damage
Level 15: MP - 12 / 126% Damage
Level 16: MP - 12 / 128% Damage
Level 17: MP - 13 / 130% Damage
Level 18: MP - 13 / 132% Damage
Level 19: MP - 13 / 134% Damage
Level 20: MP - 14 / 140% Damage

Wait. Wait.

So now you take less damage when you get hit while using Chakra? That seems odd.

Not really. Using Chakra is already enough of a handicap (you can't move for 3 seconds or so) that taking more damage is just unfair.

I like how level 19 Arrow Blow does 283% instead of 253% damage. It's almost as good as Double Shot Tongue

So arrow blow gets weaker at level 20? I hope that's a typo.

It's a typo in the data, not the text. So yes, it really does do 283% damage at level 19, but it probably wasn't meant to.

And, then you could use Chakra as a weak extra guard. Like, hit the button right before something with high damage owns you. It'd be really impractical though... I seem to be good at coming up with impractical ideas XD

It's a big waste of time to hit Chakra just to take a little less damage.

Depending on what monster you're at, it's really not a good idea to get hit using Chakra. I'm killing Wolf Spiders, my Chakra is level 20, I usually take 740 ~ 780 damage from them. While in Chakra, I only take 420 ~ 450 damage. However, to use Chakra my HP has to be below 50% (which is 1395 HP for me). I'd really be risking death if I use Chakra in a mob and it doesn't help much because they can hit you twice before you can move, because of Chakra.

I think I made no sense or if this was really necessary. I use Chakra when my HP is from 900 ~ 1395 HP and there are no Wolf Spiders near, or I just stun the one that's near me and use Chakra. If I'm lucky, I completely recover my HP.

Also, I love Band of Thieves costing 25 MP now, I'm actually making money!

...I did say it was really impractical. No need to debate over the use of Chakra because of what I said, except in the context of skill changes.

The below 50% HP thing didn't even occur to me... mainly because I'm no CB.
