[MSEA] Time Temple and KoC
#41
DeanNim Wrote:Wrong. you need to read more..

They say episode 2 is a move to make maplesea unique(like thMS). They are taking in suggestions for UI and stuff. Anything we suggest they will take it into consideration and release it.. like the malaysia map changes and new minidungeons, its an example of episode 2. Not just mega updates.

Doubt there'll be any "original" updates, though. Especially UI ones. Malaysia map changes aren't really considered unique, since so far we're the only version to have it.

And taking in suggestions - from MSEA players, that's not a very good idea. All they care about is leveling. (funny I'm saying this, since I'm one of them myself =p) But seriously. After Asiasoft accepted their suggestion of a Malaysia/Singapore mini-dungeon, they've gotten greedy. Now they're asking for reduced boss spawn times and many other ridiculous crap. Including Krexel and Scarlion/Targa dropping Level 10 skillbooks. Zakum is the only way now, but all they care again is the convienence of getting it. If that really happened, what's the whole purpose of fighting Zakum?

Don't know about you guys, but that's just my personal opinion. It really disgusts me, sometimes.

And that's why I quit Playpark to be here at Southperry Pineapple

I agree so completely.

GMS is the same way. We're always demanding MORE convenience, MORE easy modo, MORE cheap Mastery Books, MORE deflation of rare items!!! Nobody wants any difficulty with ANYTHING anymore. I find it really pathetic, too.

As much as I like really cheap, rare items and a pendant that is godly, I would much rather have all of it gone and back to the way it used to be. Getting certain Mastery Books passed used to mean something. Getting a HT Pendant used to feel good and be worth it. Now there's no point in HTing, at all. Ever. Almost every class can now easily pass all their skills. Need a rare equip? No problem! Supply is huge now.

But what can you do? Oh well.

The only part I would say we legitimately need is better training spots for non-ult classes. Hime-style linear maps/mini dungeons with Skele/CG class monsters and maps that truly benefit partying vs ult'ing (for example, place platforms and spawn too far apart for an ult to reach) and a revamp of the exp system to favor large parties where everyone contributes.

It's pretty much like that with few exceptions. Some skills, like Assassinate 30, are still really rare and really hard to get.

One thing I want is for Nexon to make Elemental Weapons drop from bosses. Not because I want more of them, but so there's a chance for those of us without 1m NX to get one outside the FM.

I'm sorry, but I personally don't find the old way things were fun. Maple Story is a game. Games are meant to have fun in. I sure as f'ucking hell wouldn't find searching the the FM for 6 hours to find the item you're looking for only to be a bajillion mesos that you can even afford. Now you can resonably spend some time looking for what you want, then be able to get it because it's at a pretty decent price. So really, I would like all this stuff to out there and have a huge demand if it means I'm having fun. Accomplishment in this game attributes to absolutely nothing. Whenever you quit, you get nothing back so why care.

On topic: Where the hell is our Knights of Cygnus and Maple Story episode 2. We better get some freaking awesome update for our anniversary patch. Does anyone remember what we got last year? I can't remember.

Majority of players don't want to play "marketeer" just to get acceptable equips, and are quite happy when Nexon makes things cheaper. Getting certain mastery books used to mean having to make 400+mil and honestly that's not my idea of fun. It works for the few people who can stand to do it.

And rofl at Timeless Temple vs. Temple of Time. Also, MSEA's preview pictures of MapleStory Episode 2 that have concept art of a certain pink fellow with a fought over name have him labeled as "Pink Bean"; I'm gonna miss calling that pink rat "Pink Vynn" Frown

Maple is meant to be fun - for players, at least. It's not for you to get to 200 asap or be own the gawdliest weapon or something. People are taking the fun out of the whole game.

Any MapleSEA patch can be the biggest compared to previous ones. Patches in MapleSEA usually only release 1 highlight. The most I seen maybe 2.

That is a bad thing? Maple is not at all friendly to the "casual" gamer who plays a few hours a week.

I've gained about 4 levels in the past 12 months, and I play a lot more than a casual gamer would, any changes that makes it easier for me are very welcome.

Time Temple please. Rolleyes

As much as I like a good challenge...this book is a bit too rare for my tastes. Goggleemoticon

Especially when it's a rare drop from something that's rarely done anymore.

Heh. When Time Temple was released, Assassinate 30 went from being 300mil to worthless in a matter of 3 weeks.

Hmmm why was that exactly? Does it drop somewhere?
Or is it the lvl120 Thief boots that give the +1 Assassinate so you can reach lvl 21 Assassinate while having lvl 20 Assassinate? Smile

They drop from Guardian Captains of Oblivion (The dark-red colored knights), which are hunted a lot. Also, everyone who wants to unlock all Time Temple maps have to eventually kill 999 of those, so a ton of the book is bound to drop.
