The Eclipse Legion
*Please note that this is unfinished and I'm going to be working on it when I'm bored. The skill section is incomplete. It'd also be helpful if someone explained how to work tables, so I can make proper ones.
*Names suggestions are also welcome
*Currently working on Sharpshooters and Hitmen; too similar in first job.
Introduction
A schism has broken the once united adventurers of the Maple World. The Black Magician is in need of adventurers unfaithful to the Cygnus cause and ready to battle and revolt against the army of light. Any adventurer over the level of 20 can create a new character to join his legion of darkness, and our synergy can eradicate their corrupt army.
Raids
The Eclipse Legion classes participate in raids. These are much like party quests, and during raids a party (or parties) bands together to bombard a Cygnus structure/encampment/group. The raid takes place in phases. First with the breaching of the main wall(s), second with a firefight, and finally with a pillaging. Sharpshooters and Hitman however can participate in assassinations. They can battle a boss form of a major cygnus leader or subordinate. Assassinations are done solo.
Classes
Neophyte
The Neophyte is the standard beginner, just renamed. They receive robes much like the Cygnus, except the Neophyte's is black and red.
Frost Wizard
Much like the Flame Wizard. Features ice based skills instead however. Their skills allow them to easily demolish Cygnus buildings.(SKILLS INCOMPLETE)
1st Job- Frost Wizard
2nd Job- Frost Mage
3rd Job- Frost Archmage
Hooligan
This is the counterpart to the Cygnus Nightwalker (thief). Instead of claws however, they are equiped with daggers. They are ace at theivery and pillage tactics.(SKILLS INCOMPLETE)
1st Job- Hooligan
2nd Job- Louche
3rd Job- Desperado
Combatant
The warrior Eclipse Legion class. They are equiped with polearms (because polearms need more love). They feature skills similar to the Soul Master cygnus class. They are vivacious little buggers. They can buff their buddies in the Legion. They can also slightly aid with structure destruction.(SKILLS INCOMPLETE)
1st Job- Combatant
2nd Job- Bellicose
3rd Job- Transgressive Knight
Sharpshooter
The crossbow weilding counterpart to the Wind Breaker. Features many skills that involve sniping. They do the assassinations for the Black Magician. His greatest foes evanesce behind the scenes. Usually do solo jobs unlike other Eclipse legion classes. (SKILLS INCOMPLETE)
1st Job- Sharpshooter
2nd Job- Triggerman
3rd Job- Executioner
Hitman
The pirate counterpart to the Striker that utilises guns. Is very similar to the Sharpshooter in the fact that they both feature numerous sniping skills. The Hitman is also based around contract killings (and this will show in some of their job-related quests). They hitman helps kill the enemies during raids and assassinates foes during solo jobs. The Hitman is very different from the Gunslinger. (SKILLS INCOMPLETE)
1st Job- Hitman
2nd Job- Cutthroat
3rd Job- Assailant
Skills (Unfinished)
Hitman
1st Job:
Shade (Smokey Grey) Same tables as Cygnus Sprite:
40 Attack Max, for 200 seconds, Level 20 max
Bullet Time Same tables as Cygnus Bullet Time,
20 accuracy + Avoidability max, Level 10 max
Sharpshoot *Sniping technique
Steadily aim the gun for dead-on precision. You must stand still for 1 second to shoot (at all levels)
MP-20 Max, Damage: 300%, Time between shots: 2 seconds, Max level: 20
Conceal Hide yourself from enemies.
Drains 1 MP per second maxed. Boosts damage of *sniping techniques by 50% when used together, maxed. Max level: 5
Aimless Firing
Fires 2 bullets in sucession. Fires extremely fast (faster than double shot), but accuracy is lowered when shooting.
MP-8 MAX, Damage: 70%, 50% chance of missing, max level: 10
Sharpshooter
1st Job:
Sharpshoot *Sniping technique
Steadily aim the crossbow for dead-on precision.
NOTES: Sharpshooters and Hitmen have those two skills shared as they are essential for a Sniping class.
The Eye of the Amazon Absolutely the same: level 8 increases shooting range.
Critical Shot Max level 20, 40% chance of working, 200% damage increase.
Crossbow Jab
Jabs the enemy with the point of the arrow at close range.
Takes one second to nock the arrow and movement is impaired while the arrow is nocked and being held (-10% speed). If a firing attack is executed, the jabbing gambit must be done over.
MP, nocking 10 MP, jabbing 7 MP, Damage: 180%, 25% chance arrow will break when maxed. Max level is 5.
Tutorial/Starting
The Neophyte slowly fades into a dark room. As you head toward the left, it appears you are in a damp cave. Eventually you find yourself dazed and confused in an immense cavern.
As you slowly go left and downward in the cavern NPC trickle information to you, but of course they have cliffhangers. You are also being trained along the way. At the last map in the cave you find yourself in a watery grotto. As you head down a small path, you find yourself at a steep cliff overlooking the sea.
The sky outside is very dark and tenebrous. It's raining relentlessly. There is a small encampment to the right and the left leads to a deadend filled with fly-eye and bat like monsters. The people at the encampment induct you to the Eclipse Legion (they are class instructors). They of course give you job and Eclipse Legion related quests WHICH WILL BE VERY CREATIVE ONCE I FINISH THEM.
As you continue heading toward the right you slowly make your way into the town of Perion.
About The Eclipse Legion
The Eclipse Legions classes have specialised quests that are based on contract killings, theft, and destruction of Cygnus related buildings/encampments. 1st Job "Eclipse" have a summon much like the Cygnus. This summon however is a ghost that looks much like the Pokemon Haunter. The Eclipse Legion are the antagonists.
If many classes were boosted/nerfed it could be possible to even include PvP with Cygnus against Eclipse Legion. However, regular Adventurers would have to be discluded. They would remain neutral.
I think the Hooligans(Bandits) should be able to do Assassinations too, because they're pretty much based of the Shadower, that has the Assassinate skill as signature (signed with blood).
Aside from that, AWESOME idea! The whole mission idea (which Cygnus still seems to miss, even though they're meant to have real missions) and the fact that every job is good at different things.
*goes sit on a chair and waits for more with big smile on face* =D

I thought about that, however I wanted to draw this idea of the Black Magician's army classes a little further away from their Adventure counterparts.
Right now I'm planning out some further information and ideas and I'm going to make skill tables this morning.
I'm really bored lol.
EDIT
Now I'm trying to work in how both Sharpshooters and Hitmen could have critical and not be overpowered.

Give them a low % and high damage boost, or a high % and low dmg boost.
OR you could make it so that if you're shooting from calm mode you crit faster and if you're shooting from active mode you crit less (like 80% with +150% when calm(little overpowered: an added avarage of 120% per hit) and 10% and +50% when you're not(5%)).
It could also be that the Hitmen get a higher percentage and that Sharpshooters get more power if they stand still(so they would normally both hit +100% 40% of the time, but when calm xbow would deal like +150% and gun would crit 60% of the time).
About the PvP thing, maybe there should be some damage reduction (undispelable) buff that would be based on level (cause only hitting 5% of your damage at lvl20 wouldn't really work and dealing 50% of it would 1hit everyone at lvl120).
