GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep
I think when they say "No Mercy" that as the automatic defense slowly scrolls up the keep anyone that is unable to navigate the jq or pq quickly enough will be taken out. No second chance, no ability to be res'ed.

Sounds like one of those moving platform stages in Super smash brothers =)

PQ sounds good. Hopefully I'm able to survive on my bowmaster.

We don't really know when Elin Forest is set, but there's an NPC there who talks about guns and hand-to-hand combat (NOT, as many people seem to think, a job instructor, but just an NPC) so they were there, then they left for a long time, and now they're back, but we don't know when they left in relation to Masteria's heyday so it's hard to say.

Real problemb is the 160+ acc you need >_<

In order of pot costs to do the CK quest chain (I did it 3 times) Paladin > DK > Hermit. The Hermit can take down any mob without getting hit, DK can take down 2/3 of them without touch, Paladin takes touch damage like a mofo since Stormbreaker hitbox is so variable (when they swing the spear) and ACB's range sucks.

On the other hand, only my Paladin can kill Guardians yet, mostly cause it's 30 levels higher (DK can't hit them, Hermit can't be hit by them) so if the interior of the Keep matches those, I guess it'll be more useful to be 4th job.

If the boss has a reactor that can turn off his phys/magic immunity (and other buffs), then non-attacking classes can be useful to break those reactors Tongue

Ick, I didn't realize how hard CWK monsters were for melee classes. Both of my 100+ characters are ranged.

If crimson wood has been going on for hundreds of years.. it is impossible to squeeze in pirates.

Pirates is relatively new, since the re-appearance of Black Magician is still new.

I'm the other way, I didn't realize how easy MS is for ranged chars until I played one. I thought everyone struggled with pot costs and stuff but that's just not true >_>

None of the classes of now existed within Masteria back then.

They had guilds which studied skills that were similar to what our classes have, but still very different. Its possible for a guild to have used guns or knuckles back then, they didnt have to be pirates per se, just more people within the keep using a new training style.

I think i can give a support to the Pirates things..
The pirates disappeard from Vic long long time ago, right?
Maybe one of the places they've disappeard to- was Masteria, before the sinking?

All stuff I could find on this beast of a statue.

I'm tempted to state that the other glove-thing is a claw as well, though I can't really see that being a fact due to spikes everywhere.

all the weapons are glowy, what you have labeled as a claw is not glowy. its gotta be a glove.

Shh. Let's assume Nexon forgot.

Weird though, where are the thieves?

perhaps the knuckle is actually a claw? there's already the gun to represent pirates.

May be it, but it doesn't look like a claw at all though. hmm.

im thinking proto-raven claw. 3 prongs and all that, thats the only choice. i think we could probably agree its not a white fangz, and thats the only 3 pronged knuckle.

in fact, none of these weapons are familiar to me. i bet theyre all new. look at the sword. the only one we currently have with a split is doombringer, and thats obviously not what the statues holding. its gotta be 1 handed for it to be that small.

Hermits are basically the only ones who don't suffer with immense pot costs.

Bowmen's HP/MP gets raped on a daily basis, along with their wallets. >_>

I'd go with Fraute, overall though they're not identical they are very similar (and at the scale of 1h weapons a split may have been infeasible to draw at character size)

- groove down the blade
- hooks on the side of the blade
- narrow area right above the hilt (these first 3 identify the Fraute out of other 1h swords which mostly have a straight or curved blade which is smooth)
- crosshilt with knobs on each side (lacking the red marks on the Fraute but they could be cloth)
- knob on the back end of the handle is similar too

Same kind of thing for the wand
- knob on the end
- wings on either side of a large sphere

Neither is identical in detail but considering the statue was made 1000 years ago maybe technology has changed Tongue

Errr, why do the weapons on the statue have to resemble any real in-game weapons at all? I'm pretty sure that that thing in the top right is a claw, representing all five job branches.

non attacking classes like STR-less brawlers? at 120 they have 999 avoid =D
