GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep

Sn1perJohnE Wrote:not necessarily, if the PQ is hard enough, not everyone will leave training for it, so my guess is is that it will have about the same exp on average that you may get at 110ish, so i get 10% an hour, it may give 10-15%, but that doesnt factor in how hard the actual pq is.

Exp-wise I hope they cater more to the slower classes (people who couldn't get 10% per hour at 110) to bring them up to par.

Does Nexon America make this content? Or is all the stuff made by the korean nexon to be exclusively released for GMS?

I think that the giant statue might be in the lobby of the pq, anyway it seems that this update will be epicly awesome.

I can't freaking wait. Maybe I'll break out my Marksman again to try some of it out, since I doubt my Marauder will be wanted.

That wouldn't make any sense. As you go higher up the mountain, the monsters keep getting harder until you finally get to the lvl 120 gaurdians. Why would the pq be anything less than 120 when the monsters just standing outside are already 120.

In any video game or movie, the thing doing the gaurding never compares to what they're protecting.

The quest where you have to kill Horned Tail is a level 80 quest, that doesn't make any sense.

Also, just because the Crimson Gaurdians are level 120 doesn't mean the PQ will be 120+. PQ's, their bosses, and the monsters inside and outside of them have never matched up to the level limit.

Judging by the APQ, if the boss is 140 the PQ will have an 80 limit. :x

The only thing I care about is if it's level x-200, no upper cap. I hate the hell out of level limited stuff.

I hope the make it with lvl ranges and diffferent difficulties, also allows more slots for it

like
90-100
100-110
110-120
120-130
130-140
and 140-200

I like the idea of having it at ranges, probably not as many though maybe something like 100-120/120- 140/140+ that way it can keep more people happy. The rewards would have to be carefully tailored too though. I don’t think it would be right for lower level people to get the same rewards as those that do a harder PQ, like the Christmas PQ. I am pretty sure there is a zero % chance that it will be like that though. I think it would be a really bad move if it had an upper level limit. Since it could exclude a lot of people that have been waiting for this high level PQ.

Prose has said many times that he doesn't like the idea of PQs with caps. I think it's safe to assume there's no such max cap here.

Was the christmas PQ a GMS made event? If it's modeled after that, it could be even more interesting to see what they pump out...

For someone who came back around the time Christmas events were ending mind telling me what kinds of stuff this Christmas PQ gave?

All the rewards were basic pots (mana elixir/white pot) or time-expiry equips. The best was probably a 70 attack level 10 dagger. (or for non-rogues, a 20 atk hat)

If they do split it levelwise I'd want it to be done for exp (so that 7x don't get 5mil exp and 12x don't get 200k exp), not for reward reasons. The PQ should give the same rewards to everyone.

If the PQ was with the level ranges and different difficulties, it'd ruin everything, because it's not how the storyline should be.

Think about it, let's say there's a Pink Been PQ for levels 10-20 and it has a pink been with 1000 HP. Seriously, it'd ruin everything.

Even if I probably won't be able to participate to the PQ, I still think there should be ONE and only ONE strong boss, the one that they will release (well, we don't yet know HOW much strong will it be, but whatever), and it should be level 120-200 only.

Lemme guess, a Menhir that rolls vertically and never stops? I actually thought about this for a distant Mapleadditions expansion, but with the vast majority of us who suck at JQs... uh oh.

I kind of think that the level limit for this quest will be level 70, since that's when you can do the keystone quests. There's no point in Lukan and Jack telling you to raid the castle or whatever if you can't even enter due to your level.

Anyways, I have pretty low expectations for this. The only thing I'm hoping for here is that this quest does not make the game worse off through, for example, a level 120+ counterpart to the opq glitch or another bigfoot incident.
