What if she had sex with the entire football team in the middle of the stadium for a crowd of roaring fans?
There's a rather large degree of difference between the two acts. Considering the average adult has sex with at least 5 partners before marrying and a lifetime of 11.
Your scenario fails to mention key points like whether or not this occurred while she was with guy #1.
It's entirely possible for a girl to have been seeing guy #2 during college, been madly in love with him but separated by them working in different parts of the country when college ends, find guy #1 a couple years later where she ends up, and guy #2 (who was really "first" from his own perspective) moves into her area for some reason and runs back into her.
Did their feelings magically go away because they'd met other people during that time?
The problem with threads like these in a forum like this is too many of the participants are too young to have any real perspective on the situation beyond gut reactions and things that've been drilled into them by culture.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Love is a useless emotion developed by the flaw of the human brain to bring some "beauty" to our survival instinct. We mate to pro-create and pass on our genes. It has been our instinct by which we've survived for thousands of years. Human's tend to over-complicate things with useless emotions.
@ob3lisk: Oh how wrong you are.
@Khainwest: You assume that sex is a product of love. Other way around.
@Khoi: Read above
Sarah hit the nail on the head though. There are multiple emotions which are often times felt by teenagers and then qualified as love because they don't know any better. Lust, affection, admiration, and more. In fact of all the people who posted in this thread, I'd bet my bottom dollar that less than 25% actually have felt love, and that less than that are even sure if they have. Either case, don't beat yourself up about it. As I've said. Meaningless.

After reading this I am forced into the conclusion, that social ingraining is powerful stuff.
Whatever the reason is behind this fictional but nevertheless real situation, I was curious to see your answers, and it didn't get far from what I expected. That men can mess around, be a playboy, he'll simply be labeled as such, but no one really cares, where as when the situation is reversed, its the end of the world for her.

Yes, sure, you don't have feelings. People do over complicate things with useless emotions, but alas, we are only human.
Sarah Wrote:But in response to the question I would suggest that the person claiming they're in love is probably confusing it with infatuation.
And how is that supposed to be different from "love"? Love is supposed to be attraction to the person you have the feeling for, and infatuated is an attraction also.
Khoi Wrote:Changing the context and situation around a bit. What if she had sex with the 2nd guy?
If she did, how does that change your perspective?
Eosian Wrote:Feelings are not a finite thing you have x amount to give. They're also not rational and can't be expected to live up to whatever arbitrary laws you whimsically declare they should. If it were that simple there wouldn't be any form of diversity, any unrequited loves, any homosexuality or variation.
Eosian Wrote:Agreed. I just don't like the instant verdict of 'shes a slut' without even the remotest bit of context.
Being a slut requires acting, not feeling.
Finally, someone who throws away whats ingrained into our minds by society and gets down to the center of the matter.

Do you always know what you want with things?

but generally I don't like girls holding 1+ relationships for getting more $$;
I also don't like guys have 1+ relationships for more sex partner(s)
I am really liking your generalising there. It is sometimes reversed... don't you know that?

I would say that woman in your question doesn't know what she is doing/thinking.
Are you two still together?

It's just a figure of speech, no milk will have been spilt until the cup gets knocked over, however you want to put it. If you just want to make the point of "SOCIETY'S NOT FAIR ON US GIRLS BOOWOO" and try to get that by dissecting my, or anyone's, wording, please refrain, it's already clear enough.

Gender aside, you can't help how you feel.
Also I think "oh, it must not be REAL love" is really quite an elitist (for lack of a better term) viewpoint.

Love is very easily confused with similar emotions, and again it's not degrading if I tell you that you've likely never felt love. It's me telling you that it is rare to find love in it's purest of forms.

Oh wahhhh wahhhhhhh wahhhhhhhh. Life sucks so much for females WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Get over it. You know that in this day and age, a girl can ruin a guys life at her whims? Doesn't work so easily the other way around. Girls are well protected behind the law and can thus toy with guys and simply drop them when they're tired of them, because if he keeps pressing she can destroy him with her words. The days of women's rights movements have come and gone. If this isn't true in Taiwan, you're more than welcome to move to Canada, where you will be given the same rights as men.

Your unbridled sarcasm aside, you are casting my relative lack of emotions against the obvious overbearing of yours. I do experience emotions as anyone else does, though I tend to act/react on them far less than most. This is because I've found that logical reasoning generally leads to better choices than just doing whatever my "heart tells me" at the time.

For your information, I live in Australia, Taiwan is just where I was born. The situation with gender in Western country law is just the consequences of hundreds of years of female oppression. I have been in court, and observed a few cases where the example you used applied. But that is just the idealism for what happens after the verdict, okay, so the guy was put away for a few years, or an court order was issued. So what? The truth is, if the guy is rotten enough, he's gonna come back and ruin her life. Hassle her, harass her, threaten her, kill her. No matter where you are, you think women are more protected by law, think again. The equity of gender these days are just an illusion, you think we are equal, but the fact is, we are not. My point holds true, I know someone who was used by her boyfriend for sex, without protection, then was silly enough to get abortion enough times she became permanently infertile at 22, nearly all Chinese students at my university knew about it. Life ruined, no? The guy gets away with it, because he didn't have to take responsibility. Responsibility taken by guys seems more like a privilege, not a right to be asked by the girl when a child is involved. No matter what you think, the fact is, women are still more disadvantaged in this society.

No sarcasm intended, we are only human, and mistakes are inevitable. If the whole world works on logic, it'll be a very different place. Not to mention totally boring. Yes, No, Cancel only works on computers, not human society.

Logically speaking, infatuation is like having a crush, its an obsession. It has potential to turn into love, but it is not love. Sound about right?

Op asked "What do you think of a girl who loves 2 guys at the same time?"
Would "What do you think of a person who loves 2 people at the same time?" be a better answer ?
feelings are not gender specific...
I see relationship as a commitment between the parties that are in that relationship. That could be relationship of a friendship between two or more people, could be two people in love, could be a married couple, etc..
There are alot of things contributing to why people react to certain ways. There are alot of scenairos that could be leading up to it ?
Say if a married couple was in trouble and say one of them decides to engage in a relationship with another. Then that's seen as an affair ?
How about two lover and they find themselves in abit of a rift and one of them engage in another relationship with third party ? would that be acceptable ?
This also matters on prespective, what we see as acceptable and what's not.
Personally if someone is in a relationship they should respect each other's wishes. Why else would you put yourself in a relationship in the first place ? This is provided both parties in equal footing. I say that because you find that in some relationship one party commit but the other does not. like some suggested above that one party is stringing alone the second party.
So my answer is that if you don't feel you love the person and you have no way of resolving the rift by any means possible then let them go instead of having feelings for two people at once.... Don't end up hurting yourself and those involved.

Love is what you think it is. Emotion is very amorphous and I don't think you can really define an absolute sensation like that, because what you feel and how you feel it depends so much on other factors.
