SP reset for big bang

Based on this, I guess for Shikage there were 10 points freed up from skills with lowered maximum levels, and then when he used the reset scroll, it erased and replaced those 10 with all the remaining 449 skill points, instead of adding to them.
If that is what is happening, then to avoid this problem, one should make sure that there are no free points before using the reset scroll.

Edit: Also possible that the scroll worked as intended, but the freed-up skill points were never there to start with.

He'd have 20 points freed up from Energy charge (it changed from max level of 40 to max level of 20), assuming he didn't use 10 of them before using the reset for whatever reason.

No... Energy Charge is a skill that has existed for the Brawler/Infighter class since it's inception. It had the highest max level for a skill in all of Maple. The keyword being 'had'.
