Well, in tespia, they never gave the sp reset out for the charater copy, but it was in the data...
does that mean we not going to get the sp reset when bigbang come to global??
i mean, it was in the extraction data, but no...
JMS got big bang today right? did any people who play JMS get the sp reset??

We are most likely going to get our SP resets.
Don't worry.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Nexon forgets about them. But, I'm pretty sure we'll receive them on the real servers.

I hope we do, because then I'll be able to fix my Bishop (that was given to me), and fix my NL while I'm at it.

Nexon Japan f'ucked up the SP rests. Just hope GMS doesn't get this.
Apparently, the fu'ucked it up somehow to where everyone loses some SP somewhere. For instance, my Viper only received 449 SP back, whereas it should have gotten 459 SP back.

I'm not quite sure. It doesn't really make sense to me, but Nexon Japan has alerted the public that they're aware of the problem. It's probably a fault with the formula they use for the scroll itself.

If it were due to job advancements it would be 6 sp that he'd lose(1 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd each, 3 for 4th), not 10.

Did they say how they were going to compensate?

They haven't really said anything except for the fact that they're aware of the problem and are working toward a solution.

As much as I want to play the Big Bang, I think I'll avoid it with my post-Big Bang characters until we get at least three unscheduled/emergency server checks/patches.

Well, the problem itself with JMS is.
Some skills vanished from the book itself, some had their max level changed, for example, who had magic guard at 20 now has it at 15. It makes SP disapear, and the SP reset formula is supposed to give you the SP you have applied on skills, when you used to have more SP than it's given to yourself.
This is proved because every job gets different amount of SP at the same level. I got 334 back at 126, while my Captain got 354 at 126.
.
They must change the formula for a fix. It's actually an easy change, even someone unexperienced with such things can think on it by pure basic math.
Something like this it should be.
.
If character is on 1st job: [(Level - 10) * 3] +1
If character is on 2nd job: [(Level - 10) * 3] +2
If character is on 3rd job: [(Level - 10) * 3] +3
If character is on 4th job: [(Level - 10) * 3] +6
.
If the character is a magician, also, the limit for applying points into skills from other job advancements (The "You need to apply more points into Xjob skills") should be 6 points higher and equal to other jobs, since KMS changed the starting level of a mage to 10 and not 8 anymore.

Sounds like a good idea. This is bound to be one of the buggiest patches ever. I think staying off for a day or two will save people a ton of grief.

That's AP.
It's really not a smart idea for Nexon to NOT give us SP resets. I do predict some sort of mess-up with them, but the point is, they will give us SP resets. It makes zero sense for them not to.

Based on this, I guess for Shikage there were 10 points freed up from skills with lowered maximum levels, and then when he used the reset scroll, it erased and replaced those 10 with all the remaining 449 skill points, instead of adding to them.
If that is what is happening, then to avoid this problem, one should make sure that there are no free points before using the reset scroll.
Edit: Also possible that the scroll worked as intended, but the freed-up skill points were never there to start with.
About your last part; does this mean mages will have 6 fewer skill points after big bang update?
