New Exp Curve
#21
The new exp curve is going to make many JMS players lv 200 extremely quickly due to Core Blaze..

I wonder what the new requirement is to 177. I'm guessing around 160M.

The numbers look higher than they are. The comparison chart is for KMS current Exp numbers. However, many other MS regions like GMS have already had those numbers reduced by 25% -

KMS lvl 58 - 1087536
New KMS lvl 58 - 205496
Reduction - 81%

GMS lvl 58 - 870028
Possible new - 205496
Reduction - 76%

Using Screenshots of higher level folks, the reduction hits about 60% of GMS level when you get into the 150+ area.

So 1 hour per level on a Bishop, and 4 hours on my Dk. Want.

Consider the lower exp relative to player level, though.

Current - lvl 110 Skele gives 4750 Exp

New - lvl 110 Ghost Pirate gives 1890 Exp.

Considering what I said here - http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php...post474943 - it may not equate to the leveling time change you mention.

I did some calculations based on screenshots from KMST and the new mob list.

At lvl 152 - a level 151 monster gives you 0.008% Exp (12,500 kills, Qualm Monk)
At lvl 162 - a level 162 monster gives you 0.005% Exp (20,000 kills, Oblivion Monk trainee)

Using some approximated numbers, I calc that it will take 125,000 COGs to level from 199-200. This is as opposed to the 240,000 it takes now in GMS (and takes into consideration the changes in Exp curve and mob Exp).

Wait... Thats a bad thing right? Mad

In Nexon's eyes becoming more and more like private servers would be a good thing since it might bring back the prive server players and somehow make them money.

Except Nexon beat away private servers a long time ago. They still exist, but no one really cares about them. Nexon is just making this game more accessible to players who can't deal with the 50+ hour/level grinds at higher levels.

whats wrong with making the game easier. grinding is such a fucking nightmare its horrible! why would I want to spend hours on end to gain 1 level?

You misunderstand my post. That's exactly why they're changing the exp curve.

I think he was responding to Random_Overlord. He probably quoted you by a miss-click or he was in a hurry.

I for one am happy to see faster leveling. I know Maple's not the worse when it comes to leveling, but playing it casually is really hard....
