So I'm into older animes again.
#1
I recently finished watching Cardcaptor Sakura, after the whole memory of it being stuck in my head came back alive. I came up with the idea of watching old animes that I used to enjoy, and I told myself that after CCS I should watch Rorouni Kenshin since I haven't in a while. I opened up the first episode today and I realised how feminine his voice sounded like and it's such a turn off for being a manslayer.

So my question to you Southperry is, should I watch the English Dub or the original version?

I'd go for original. I've been watching some pretty old anime myself lately. Gundam Wing, S-Cry-Ed, stuff like that. Japanese voice-overs are almost ALWAYS > English dubs.

English
Japanese

I only like Kenshin's voice in the English version. It sounds weird in Japanese.

Now that I listen to it again after so many years, he does sound pretty damn feminine in the japanese dub. Jesus. English it is!

I find that Kaoru's voice and alot of the other characters voices don't match very well. Kenshin's I don't mind though I miss the 'Oro' in it though. I stick to the english dubs usually, unless an anime isn't finished then I end up hunting down the english subtitled version and watch that. If the japanese version isn't agreeing with you try the english one, and see how you fair..
