Sticky cleanup

Kawasari Mimoto Wrote:Something like that with actual statistics would help. I'd actually like to see that. Good luck to you if the entire community is even capable of that.

Wait, when did I ever imply that I or the staff was going to do this? I was just saying that it's very possible.

Edit: Forgot to reply to Sarah.

Sarah Wrote:Outdated = useless though. No one will use the guide when they can and will find a better one elsewhere. Just having it there for the sake of having it there doesn't make sense...

Then take the initiative. Fix the problem.

It's not our responsibility to write guides for the userbase, and it doesn't make sense to take old ones down for the sake of taking them down either when they still have purpose. (Outdated works still have purpose. They're simply not the best.)

In a sense, the Pirate training guide is outdated since HiddenStreet changed their url, all the links in my thread are invalid. Still need to get around to correcting them, which I am not looking forward to.

I knew what you meant, Russt. But my point was, good luck if anybody is willing to even contribute and update it.

I think they all should be merged into one huge thread and then put into the quick links tab.

At the very least, we should get a warrior's version of the guide.

That's up to our users deciding they want to write one, not an obligation we have to them as staff.

We're a game related forum, not a game guide.

I'm removing the maintenance part since it doesn't really seem necessary, then. However, I'm still interested in threads that people feel should be stickied, or stickies that aren't really needed anymore.

Hmm the stickys in some sections do seem a little cluttered with outdated things, yet that does not make them necessarily in need of removal, since they could still be of use, but I agree with anything fairly useless being un stickied.

sidenote: lol at thread title.
