MapleStory behaving strangely

Smash the keys on your keyboard really hard. Repeat this several times. This is not a joke.

I've had this for a long time man, and this is what you should do. Mainly take 4 fingers, put them over both Alt and Ctrl keys and just smash them down a few times. It shall fix it.

Happens to me on my laptop.
I usually just ctr alt delete then go back to ms..

I haven't encountered a problem like this outside of Maple. Is this some stupid anti botting mechanism?

I have been encountering this same problem for I don't know how long now. It's when I'm on my desktop using my Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 4000. I have not found a fix for it besides restarting my computer, which is a pain.

Before the latest patch, my keyboard seemed to behave fine with MapleStory. Now, whenever I'm online it starts to behave strangely. For example, pressing Esc will automatically minimize MapleStory and pressing Enter will put it into Full Screen or Window view depending on what mode it was in when I pressed it. This happens randomly and goes on for 5-20 minutes and automatically corrects itself. Rebooting my computer alleviates the problem. Also, I have reinstalled MapleStory at least three times now but the problem still persists.

A possible solution would be to reboot your computer and try again momentarily. If this does not help I would then suggest that you manually re-install the game from the official Nexon.net website.

Although you may have already reinstalled, these steps may help. Please make sure to use the "Add/Remove Programs" when deleting the game. Also select "Delete Files" by opening up Internet Explorer going to the "Tools" option and into "Internet options" There, go to the "General" tab, and then find the "Temporary Internet files" (should be close to the browsing history) and select "Delete files" Once it is clear, try to download the game again.

Make sure that you are using an updated version of Internet Explorer, it is a known issue that other browsers may have conflicting issues with our website. Also, make sure that you are downloading the client from the official Nexon.net website.

And you getting a report back that makes some sense actually surprises me, even though it probably won't help much.

Gah, it's just so frustrating that they recommended clearing my cache and other junk and reinstalling Maple. As if that's not the first thing I did...Well, that's probably my bad, I wasn't really specific. I'm willing to bet that my next ticket response will be either reinstall or closed w/o reply.

I get this on XP in JMS too..

I couldn't talk at all at HT after the Wings died, plus when my JP friend asked me about the Mass Seduce in HT and if I know it, I couldn't reply to it because I couldn't type anything

i had this happen to me before and bacon is right, smack your keyboard a couple times and it stops.

i usually smash ctrl, alt, spacebar, alt gr and basically every key on the bottom row.

i play on xp btw so it can happen to anyone. its as if my alt key got stuck.

Holding Alt and AltGr for a few seconds fix it for me 9/10 times. I'm to lazy to see if that has already been mentioned earlier in the thread.
