Dragon Ball Kai: Dragon Ball Z without the filler
#21
GMSInfighter Wrote:Me and my friends were talking about this, I kinda enjoyed the longer storyline to be honest, I like long animes for some reason.

But the story being shortened may take out some useless stuff that wasnt really necessary in the first place =.=

Like Vampire Garlic JR saga... Wow I've never thought about a Vampire named Garlic LOL. And Goku and Piccolo learn to drive, I enjoyed that episode though.

But the longer story is nice, I liked how in the show there was almost always some kind of threat going on. However I never watched any of the Majjin Buuuuuu stuff.

I tried taking a look at this the other day . . . *Shudders* . . . I can't believe the voice actors they have doing Goku, Gohan, and Goku's father. I mean, normally the voice actors for fansub stuff kick so much more ass than any American counterpart, with very very few exceptions. I dunno if it's because I'm so used to the regular voices of the old dubbed version, but I couldn't watch more than a few minutes of it. I love the old plain Dragonball series, and Dragonball Z was okay up until the Cell Saga, but I don't think I can watch Kai so long as I have to listen to . . . I don't even know how to describe the voice acting, but it's bad, very bad. FrownTongue

Hmmm, maybe if I mute it, it'll be tolerable. *Shakes head and sighs* Nope, even then I don't think I'll be able to watch it after already having heard what they sound like. After all, a large part of the reason I like watching subs is to hear so much better voice acting. Oh well, I just thought I'd share my strong revulsion since without this thread I'd have never checked it out.
