Striker help.

So I've been trying to compile a nice build for my Striker, I have gotten a slight bit of inspiration to pursue to at least 100. ._.
Summer is around the corner and I'm on the brink of leaving C2, so I'm happy. Heart

I can't really see what I should max, what I shouldn't.
I have so many skills. ;;

I HAVE come to the conclusion that getting shark wave to 21 is a asap, so it hits 6 and then move onto maxing critical punch, and that I will not get any drain except level 1.
After that is kind of a mystery, and also I know that I can save points from 90 to 100 and then once I obtain barrage pour them into max it. (same for WB)

Here is the super experimental build I have been thinking of.

(I kind of just threw drain in there to have some fun and it is useful at level 1.)

Ok so there are many things I could do.
1. Switch out the order of maxing transform and sparks.
2. Not max shock wave and max sharks.
3. Change the order around all together.
4. Figure out a way to get drain maxed instead.
5. Do something with WB, not sure on the level which it gives +2. (figure it out and leave it at that level)

Keep in mind the max levels for stuff are:
Crit Punch ; 20
Drain ; 30
Transform ; 10
Shock Wave ; 20
Sparks ; 20
Shark Wave ; 30
Barrage ; 20
Wind Booster ; 20


SO SOUTHPERRIANS, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!

Windbooster gives +2(or -2) at lvl11+
Don't get Shockwave that early, just use Sharkwave, it's faster, you can use it all the time, the only problem is that it's damage isn't as high, but you can use it more/better. Just use Transform as some form of Haste. You could use the CSB > DS combo but this time with Sharkwave, or just spam Sharks.

Striker Barrage only has 20 levels. This means that if you leave WB at 11 you have 19 free points. Use those to max Sharkwave. Put the rest in Drain. Please note that I only have a lvl31 Brawler.

I wouldn't get max Screw Punch. Max Energy Blast with the new skill updates is MUCH more useful in terms of damage. At those higher levels, you'll only be using Screw Punch as a mobbing mechanism anyways. Energy Blast is better.

Edit : Also, your fist job build is atrocious! You're going to NEED Flash Fist for training as a second job Striker. It's much more beneficial to a Striker than an Infighter due to the fact that Strikers don't get as many skills as an Infighter does. I say you should get max Quick Motion, Max SommerSault Kick, Max Straight and the rest of your points into your Sprite.


Edit#2: Transform doesn't give a STR boost, so cut that out. lol

That's exactly what I think of doing.

Screw Punch just doesn't seem like the skill that's best left out in 2nd job.

I'm also thinking of skipping Shockwave, adding to some skills I left out in the past, like Sprite and possibly Screw Punch.

You're right, corrected my skill build, maxing Blast in 2nd job and CSB in 3rd now. I forgot about Blast's speed upgrade!

Why am I maxing CSB in 3rd job? I love the 100% godmode chain combo with CSB / Barrage. And the more damage I can do with godmode, the better! Tongue

Edit: AFAIK, maxed CSB has more RANGE then lvl 11 CSB for mobbing monsters... Or is this different in Cygnus Skills (there is no info about range of CSB in KoC's Skill Tables in southperry.net thread)

No, I 100% hate Flash Fist, I hate the range, I hate the way that it's too fast (yes too fast) to keep an enemy NOT knocked-back, I hate weak single target skills, and besides that, I love the sprite! Big Grin

Lol. This is mainly why I can't wait for the new skill updates to reach JMS. Fighting like normal while transformed = epic. Excellent

Just looked up in Pirate Skill Tables (Not Knights of Cygnus, the original Pirates)
lvl 11 CSB - 150% Range
lvl 20 CSB - 200% Range

Is the range of CSB for Strikers always the same or does it differ per lvl like with the original Pirates? :o

Edit: Updated my skill build again, Maxing CSB before maxing Sparks (Because of the range increase with the "rush" effect).

CSB is the same for strikers as it is for pirates. The only reason CSB is best left unmaxed is because the other skills you have are way more important.

There isn't much of a point in mobbing when at level 70 you immediately get a skill that's both extremely long ranged and hits for a lot.

Well I love using CSB godmode + only 1 Monster as some sort of "Flash Jump / Teleport". The more range CSB has for doing this = WIN Tongue

I believe dancing would work no matter what range it has. Your build of maxing CSB in 3rd is a good idea to me though, as i would also prefer to have CSB as an available skill.
